Yvonne is from Frankfurt/Main, Germany and began working as a photo model at an early age. She attended ballet school and performed in several stage productions. In 1999, she enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and later began working as a model in Europe, Asia and in the US. In 2002, she appeared in the hit German TV series SOS Barracuda and played the girlfriend of Hans Zischler. She starred along with Claude-Oliver Rudolph and Juergen Prochnow and also starred in numerous short films. She also appeared in numerous German music videos, including those of Apoptygma Berzerk (In this Together), Sub7even and Melanie Thornton (Makin' Oooh) and sang back-up vocals with Joe Cocker and Vanessa Mae. She has appeared in sports and action documentaries, which led to lifestyle magazine Maxim in Germany voting her "The Action Girl". Yvonne Maria Schaefer now resides in New York City, when not traveling & working. She is currently in a German film called Chaosdays, starring with Claude Oliver Rudolf, that is in theaters right now over there and she also just did a new TV series called A Case for Two, also in Germany.
